About UWTSD
- The University`s Royal Charter is the oldest in Wales and England after the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, with HRH the Prince of Wales being the University`s Royal Patron.
- It also became the newest university in 2013 when Swansea Metropolitan University merged into the institution.

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
UWTSD DBA is an exciting opportunity for experienced managers to further their qualifications, combining research and practical reflective activities. The programme is designed by experts in management education at UWTSD and built on engaged scholarship and evidence-based management to enable participants to solve practical issues and complex business problems, with a focus on the development of applied research skills in interdisciplinary areas.

DBA vs PhD
DBA and PhD are both Doctoral programmes that involve the development of substantial original work but with different foci. DBA focuses on practice, policy or strategy, within the context of the individual`s workplace. The research involved in DBA is applicable to business issue(s) and is carried out in the context of professional practice while for PhD, research needs to make a significant contribution to an area of knowledge or theory.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA is an internationally respected general management qualification, which enhances the skills and competences of experienced managers. The content will improve participants` potential to manage and lead organizations effectively through development of abilities, extension of knowledge and understanding of a wide range of management skills, ideas and theories. This programme is designed for participants from a wide variety of backgrounds who are seeking international career opportunities through the development of their managerial abilities.
