The 2018 HKMA Annual Conference was successfully held on 1 November 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with over 1,000 participants. The Conference brought together prominent business leaders who shared with participants their invaluable insight under the theme of "Cutting the Curves - Transforming Businesses to Stay Ahead"

Dr Y K Pang GBS JP, Chairman of the Association in his Welcoming Address pointed out that, "With the rapid development of information and communication technology, the new economy is redefining the way we live, work and play like no other. Digital technology has undoubtedly made businesses faster and production more cost-efficient. Companies and countries are becoming more economically dependent upon each other. As changes and uncertainties are sweeping across the global macro-economic environment, businesses must adopt innovative ideas and behave differently to stay afloat in the new and highly competitive economy."

The Presentation of AMD Professors of Practice was also held at the Conference. The three new Professors of Practice this year are:
