Test of Proficiency in Putonghua A Preparatory Course for the Hong Kong Examinations Authority

This programme aims at preparing participants to take the Test of Proficiency in Putonghua (TPP). This test is offered by Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA). The TPP is usually conducted in July and there are no specific entry requirements.
Participants are required to take an internal examination at the end of the course. Those who pass the internal examination will be awarded a Certificate by the HKMA.
Test Format The Test of Proficiency in Putonghua (TPP) consists of the following two parts : Written Test - Listening (25%), Transcription (15%) Oral Test - Reading (20%), Oral Presentation (20%), Conversation (20%)
TPP Registration Procedures Registration normally takes place from March to April. Entry forms and Instructions to Applicants are available during the registration period at both HKEAA offices. Related information and the entry form can also be downloaded from the HKEAA website: www.hkeaa.edu.hk during the registration period.
Completed entry forms may be submitted in person, via an authorized representative or by post to the School Examinations and Assessment Division which will also handle all enquiries regarding the test. Applicants may also submit their entries on-line via ESDlife.
