The Postgraduate Diploma is designed for those seeking to consolidate
their work experience and/or advance their career in a given field.
Places on the programme are available for students without a first
degree who have substantial work experience, providing an ideal starting
point for those who require a theoretical foundation in order to process.
Those who have been away from study for a long period of time are
also encouraged to commence study at the Diploma level.
The
Postgraduate Diploma in Management may be completed in one year
of part-time study. After successful completion of the Postgraduate
Diploma programme, students who meet the relevant entry requirements
and maintain a consistent level of achievement, can apply to articulate
to the Master of Management programme and then to the Master of
Business Administration (MBA) if desired. Students will receive
full credit for units already completed. Articulating in this manner
will result in the achievement of multiple qualifications. (See

Programme Structure
The Postgraduate Diploma has three foundation units to provide students
with a solid grounding in these areas.

Accounting for Management
2.
Marketing Management
3.
Organisational Behaviour
The remaining three units can be chosen from a variety of electives
available. Students planning to articulate t the Master of Management from
the Postgraduate Diploma are encouraged to choose their electives from the
units listed within their intended specialization (pending unit availability).

Entry Requirements
Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Management are required to have:
Direct Entry: 1. a degree from a recognised university or other tertiary institution; and
2. a minimum of three to five years` relevant work experience (e.g. managerial
/ professional)
Indirect Entry:
Articulation via successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate.
Applicants must be proficient in the English language both written and spoken,
and meet the requirements of the University.

The programme commences in January and June each year and the deadline for applications is October and March preceding the proposed date of entry.

MGSM reviews its fees annually and from time to time this will result in increases in the fee per unit. Under normal circumstances these increases would be constrained to 5-10% per annum.
