Professional Diploma in Business Communication
- A Professional Communication Course



As the business world becomes more challenging and competitive, executives and managerial staff need to equip and update themselves with the techniques in effective business communication. The Association designs this diploma to provide systematic and all-around training to those who need to improve the business communication skills in both Chinese and English, including Putonghua. The maximum time allowed to complete the course is two years.

Programme Structure

This programme can be completed in ten months. It consists of seven modules, with a diploma being awarded upon successful completion of the course.

  • Practical Business Listening and Speaking Skills (English)
  • Practical Business Listening and Speaking Skills (Putonghua)
  • Professional Presentation Skills
Offered either in First or Second Term
  • Introduction to Effective Communication
  • Practical Business Writing Skills (English)
  • Practical Business Writing Skills (Chinese)
  • Communication Skills in Use - A Management Project
    (offered in Second Term only)

English Putonghua (supplemented with Cantonese)


HK$ 14,550  (First Instalment due at the time of application) (HK$512.5 x 3 modules) + (HK$200 non-refundable application fee)

Application Period

The programme is offered twice a year (April and October). The whole programme has been included in the list of reimbursable courses for CEF purposes and the CEF Course Code is: 21F 02953-0 Institution Code: 300 for The Hong Kong Management Association
