Biography
The Hon Eddie Ng has been the Secretary for Education of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since 1 July 2012. He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. He also contributed to the work of a number of tertiary institutions. With a wealth of experience in human resource management, he served as president of several professional HR associations. He also held prominent positions in leading multinational corporations such as JPMorgan Chase and Motorola. Mr Ng has been actively involved in public service and was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star in 2011.

Synopsis:
Unlocking Hong Kong’s talent is vital to sustaining Hong Kong’s competitiveness in the fast-changing and knowledge-based world. Mr Eddie Ng, the Secretary for Education, will share with the audience how our education can help unleash the talents and potential in youngsters. He will also explain how our education system is attracting global talents to complement home-grown ones, and what collaborative role the business sector can play in the strive to unlock Hong Kong’s talent.
