The University of Huddersfield is a long established and successful university with a proud tradition in teaching and research. From its
roots in 1825, the University has kept its scientific and mechanical expertise and over the last 190 years has successfully expanded into
the arts, business, humanities, education and health sciences. The University now has around 20,000 students.
The University of Huddersfield consistently performs well in the annual National Student Survey by the Higher Education Funding
Council for England. The University is rated amongst the very best for its teaching quality, as independently judged by the UK Quality
Assurance Agency. In 2013, it became the Times Higher Education University of the Year. In 2016, it was the first in England for
professionally qualified teaching staff (HEFCE December 2016). In 2017, it was the winner of the first Global Teaching Excellence Award
(Higher Education Academy, 2017). In 2022, its staff rank in the Top Three in England for the proportion who hold doctorates, have
higher degrees and hold teaching qualifications (HESA 2022). In 2023, it has been awarded Gold rating in its overall rating, as well as
gold in the student experience and in the student outcomes categories, in Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Huddersfield Business
School has also been awarded a coveted accreditation, AACSB, and named the Business School of the Year at the prestigious Times
Higher Education Awards.

在專業合資格的教學人員方面獲英格蘭高等教育資助委員會評為全英國排名第 1 位。而在 2017 年，大學成為高
等教育學院首屆全球教學卓越獎得主。在 2022 年，高等教育統計局評定大學的教職員在持有博士學位，具有較
高學位及教學資格的比例為全英國排名前三位。在 2023 年，大學獲教學卓越架構評定為「金」等級大學，並同
時在學生體驗及學生成果方面獲得金獎。其商學院亦獲國際商學院促進協會 (AACSB) 頒授國際認可資格，及在泰
晤士高等教育獎上被評為年度最佳商學院。
