Six Finalists Shortlisted for Marketing Excellence 13/7/2000
A total of 52 marketing campaigns have entered the HKMA/TVB
Award for Marketing Excellence 2000 organized by The Hong Kong Management
Association. Six marketing campaigns have been selected for the final
judging to be held on 2 September 2000. The six finalists will present
case histories of their marketing campaigns to a Panel of Judges.
The prestigious Award, organized by The Hong Kong Management Association since 1985, will be awarded based on a number of criteria. These include well-defined objectives, effective use of market research, development of the product/service to meet market needs, integrated and well-organized communications programmes, effective distribution channels, efficient administration and finally achievement of the planned results. Entries received will be invited to submit a 5-page write-up on their marketing campaigns. A Board of Examiners combining the Marketing Management Committee and the Marketing Awards Organizing Committee will then shortlist the six most outstanding campaigns for final presentation during which the Panel of Judges will decide the Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize winners as well as the three Certificates of Merit recipients. All the results of the Award will be announced at the Award Presentation Luncheon to be held on Wednesday, 4 October 2000 at Island Shangri-La Hotel, Hong Kong. Sponsored by Television Broadcasts Ltd since 1989, the annual Award gives recognition to outstanding marketers in Hong Kong and their campaigns as a means to upgrade the standards of the marketing profession.
