Be a Certified Specialist of Wine and Spirits

According to the IWSR (International Wine and Spirit Research) Forecast Report 2011-2016, the Asia-Pacific region is now the world`s fastest-growing wine market. China, in particular, is tipped to lead the way, with its domestic consumption expected to have grown by an astonishing 63.2% within two years.

Equip Yourself with Internationally Certified Courses
The rapidly growing wine industry has brought into focus the need for qualified wine professionals in the business.  In an effort to bridge this gap, The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) offers internationally certified courses for professionals who seeking to get a career-enhancing credential conferred by the Society of Wine Educators (SWE).

The two programs, namely Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) are to prepare students for the CSW and CSS examination held by SWE with face-to-face tutorials. Each of the examination consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, candidates have to complete the exam in one hour. Successful candidate who achieves a score of 75% or better qualifies a Certificate Specialist of Wine/Spirits and is entitled to use the CSW/CSS post-nominal as part of their professional signature. They will also receive a certificate and a lapel pin.

Society of Wine Educators
The Society of Wine Educators, founded in 1977, is a non-profit educational organization in the United States whose mission is to advance wine education through professional development and certification. It has an extensive network with over 2,200 members in 20 countries representing every facet of the wine industry.

The Society of Wine Educators offers several certification programs: the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS), Certified Wine Educator (CWE), and Hospitality/Beverage Specialist Certificate (HBSC). These self-study educational programs are internationally recognized and highly regarded in the wine and spirits industry. Successful candidates are entitled to add the appropriate post-nominal to their professional signature accordingly.

The programs held by The Hong Kong Management Association are scheduled to be held as follows:
