Mr Jack So, GBS OBE JP, Chairman of the Airport Authority Hong Kong delivered a speech about Hong Kong International Airport and the Planned Three-Runway System to over 500 guests on Tuesday, 29 September 2015 at the 30th Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture and Dinner organized by the Theme Year Working Party of The Hong Kong Management Association.

Since 1985, the Association has introduced a theme year concept to its work in order to bring greater focus to various management activities. For 2015, the Theme Year Working Party adopted "Advancing Hong Kong`s Competitive Edge" as its theme. The Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture is one of the highlight Theme Year activities.

The Presentation Ceremony of the Award for Excellence in Training and Development 2015 was also held during the occasion. The Award celebrates its 25^th Anniversary this year. Mr Anthony Rushton, Chairman of the 2015 Awards Organizing Committee expressed his deepest gratitude to all the parties which have contributed to the awards over the years including the sponsors, adjudicators, examiners, organizing committee members, past participating companies and trainers. He announced all the results of the 25th Anniversary Award, Campaign and Individual Awards. Trophies and certificates were presented by Mr Alfred Chan, BBS, Chairman of the Association; Mr Jack So, the Guest of Honour; Dr Dennis Sun, Honorary President of the Association; Ir Alkin Kwong and Mr Y K Pang, Executive Committee and Council Members of the Association; Mr Giovanni Angelini and Mr Kent Wong, Council Members of the Association; as well as Mr Paul Poon, Chairman of the Theme Year Working Party 2015.

Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture

Organized by the Association`s Theme Year Working Party since 1985, the Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture is one of the highlights of the Association`s whole year activities aiming to recognize the contribution of the late Mrs Susan Yuen to Hong Kong`s business community. This special event will raise funds for the Susan Yuen Fellowship and Research Foundation to provide scholarships for in-service executives to attend short and practical courses.
