Renowned for its quality, flexibility and extensive subject range, the MGSM MBA has been a flagship programme of the School since its launch in 1969. The MBA is designed for individuals already in positions of responsibility who have been identified as possessing higher management and leadership potential and who aspire to a general management position.
The MBA course develops through three distinct stages in the learning process and aims to achieve a strategic business perspective, focusing on the competitive advantage of the enterprise. The first stage of the MBA emphasises a general grounding in management; the second stage exposes participants to the perspectives of functional managers; and the third stage adopts the perspective of the general manager, developing the expertise to steer the organization toward achieving and sustaining competitive advantage.

At MGSM students have the opportunity to tour the world's major markets in the unit 'Raising Capital in Global Markets'. Taught in four modules in four cities, including Sydney, Hong Kong, London and Washington DC, the unique unit has been created in conjunction with leading industry partners, including ASX and NASDAQ.
